CLARIN-IT and H2IOSC at the Celebration of the Centenary of CNR Establishment

On Friday 12th May 2023, at the Research Area of ​​Pisa, the Centenary of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR) will be celebrated with a day entitled The Spring of Research, aimed at schools, families and the city.
CNR researchers involved in CLARIN-IT, the Italian node of the CLARIN European research infrastructure, and in the infrastructural project H2IOSC - Humanities and cultural Heritage Italian Open Science Cloud, funded under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNNR), will hold a laboratory entitled Research Infrastructures for Social Sciences and Open Science.
During the laboratory, they will explain what research infrastructures and Open Science are and how the latter is done in practice.
Furthermore, they will present H2IOSC, the new network of research infrastructures of CNR for Open Science in the domains of Humanities and Cultural Heritage, aimed to preserve, enhance, disseminate and support humanistic culture.
Through concrete examples, they will explain why, for the progress of Science, it is important to foster the sharing of data, tools and skills and why this network of research infrastructures is useful not only for research but also for teaching, in particular as far as language resources and tools are concerned.
The laboratories of the celebratory day will be available from 10:00 in the rooms located on the ground floor next to the Research Auditorium.
