A CLARIN Mobility Grant to an Italian PhD Student
From 13th to 19th January 2019 Beatrice Nava (PhD Student at University of Bologna) took advantage of a CLARIN Mobility Grant to visit the Centre of CLARIN-DK (nationally coordinated by Costanza Navarretta) constituted by the Centre for Language Technology of the Department of Nordic Studies and Linguistics of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Copenhagen.
The funded short visit took place in the framework of CLARIN-IT (nationally coordinated by Monica Monachini) in collaboration with the University of Parma (under the tutoring of Prof. Anika Nicolosi).
The aim was to gain a deeper understanding of CLARIN-DK text tools and a better working knowledge on how to manage, encode and represent ancient texts and data with respect to TEI standards.
The CLARIN Mobility Grant improves the project DEA – Digital Edition of Archilochus: New models and tools for authoring, editing and indexing an ancient Greek fragmentary author, which will contribute to the development of CLARIN-IT related activities and provide the CLARIN infrastructure with data, methods and tools for the field of Digital Classics.
