CLARIN-IT is pleased to announce that the University of Padua (UniPD) became a member of the Italian National Consortium in December 2022.
The decision to apply for membership was unanimously approved during the last meeting of the UniPD Open Science Commission, of which Giorgio Maria Di Nunzio is a member as Open Data Advisor.
The application for membership presented by UniPD was unanimously accepted by the CLARIN-IT Committee for Procedures of Membership to the National Consortium.
UniPD commitment is aimed at sharing with the CLARIN B-Centre ILC4CLARIN the metadata relating to language resources to be uploaded to the institutional repository Research Data UniPD.
Together with Giorgio Maria Di Nunzio, Sebastiano Miccoli, Director of the University Centre for Libraries (CAB), and Elena Bianchi, member of the CAB Digital Library Office, will be actively involved in CLARIN-IT.
Furthermore, Giorgio Maria Di Nunzio's personal commitment is aimed at making CLARIN-IT initiatives increasingly visible, in particular to Humanities Departments, and at promoting the creation and management of data and language resources within UniPD.
